Roasted Sweet Potatoes

 

Ingredients
  • Sweet potatoes: 2 medium pieces


Instructions

  1. Wash the sweet potatoes and place them in the kakugama.
    Lining the pot with cooking paper is convenient.

  2. Cover with the lid and heat over very low heat for 1 hour.
    Check for doneness by inserting a bamboo skewer.
    Adjust the cooking time depending on the size and moisture content of the sweet potatoes. Thicker ones may take about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Cooking Tips with ANAORI kakugama

kakugama excels at cooking firm ingredients such as root vegetables.
The strong far-infrared heat emitted from the carbon material penetrates quickly and evenly to the center of the food, resulting in a soft, fluffy texture—much like steam-roasting.
For an even more moist and tender finish, cover the sweet potatoes with damp kitchen paper while cooking.
